There are only a handful of trilogies that manage to stick
into people's minds. Such is the case for this simple and well-told story. We
bring you our review of 'BEFORE MIDNIGHT'.

Before you say you are going to skip this movie because you
haven't seen the previous two, we'd like you to know that it isn't particularly
necessary. The film fills in the small holes of the story so you can have a
good idea of what is going on.
Those familiarized with this saga that started in 1995 with
'Before Sunrise' and continued in 2004 with 'Before Sunset' will feel right at
home with this one. The narrative and the characters' structure sticks to what
it knows best and doesn't venture into the unknown.
The story fast-forwards to present us Jesse's and Céline's
life today as a happy couple with a pair of adorable twin little girls. They
are vacationing in Greece where a writer invited him to come over and stay in
his home for the summer while Jesse writes his new book. This time it isn't
about seeing the couple fall in love but lead a normal life with kids. Romance
is in the air but the daily troubles that come with everyday life get in the
way of their happy ending.
Ethan Hawke's and Julie Delpy's performances were superb.
The chemistry and connection between them is as fresh as ever and you can feel
the words and experiences they go through. Some of that, if not all, has to be
because they contributed to the screenplay.
With this film you can be sure you'll spend a very nice time
at the movies and in case you haven't seen the previous movies, you'll probably
start searching for them.
