Review: THE INTERNSHIP

Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn. There is no need to mention this is a review for a slightly dark and original comedy film. Here are our thoughts on 'THE INTERNSHIP'.

Something you hear a lot of these days is how everything depends on technology. If you don't know how to use a computer, even at its most basic level, or know how to help your business grow through online sales, you'll eventually be overrun by competitors. But, what happens when you have done something your whole life and it has nothing to do with technology?

This story tells about a pair of "dinosaurs" that were lifelong salesmen and the company that hired them has been sold due to lack in sales. Now they have to find new jobs to earn a living.

In a moment of greatness, or absolute stupidity, however you choose to see it, Billy (played by Vaughn), enlist himself and his best friend in a summer internship at GOOGLE. In an almost miraculous way, they get picked by the company to tryout for an everyday job and prove they have what it takes to become part of their team.
At first nobody wants to be or even talk to them, and why blame them since they have neither the knowledge of collegiate background the rest of the candidates do. To make things worse, they are way older than everyone else.
Now they have to prove, not only to the company but to the rest of their team as well, they have the "googlynesh" required to work at the coolest company in the world.

The film is made for teens and college students or recent graduates to create the necessity, wanting to be a part of or even wanting to work at Google. The most interesting thing is that Vaughn and Wilson do an excellent job at helping older audiences relate with the film. The dialogues are amazingly played out, full of charisma and heart.
Something that also pops-up is that the film never gets into problems it can't solve without using unrealistic and ridiculous endings or solutions; it tells us a story with plenty of imagination and even believable at times.

Its worth you go see this film (or rent it in case its no longer in theaters) and have fun discovering that after a collegiate experience or lifelong career come to an end things can get tough but not impossible to solve.

8.6/10 Good Popcorn Fun.
