Review: BACHELORETTE

What is the ultimate dream for most girls? Having a beautiful wedding with the perfect guy. Oh yeah, and be the first of her group of girlfriends to do it. This is our review of the film that shows us what happens when this doesn't go according to plan: 'BACHELORETTE'.

By Staff
The story tells about Regan, Katie and Gena, a group of high school friends that get together to celebrate the wedding of their other not so cute nor thin friend, Becky.
During the bachelorette party, things get out of control and Becky asks them to behave like decent human beings at the event or not show up at all. Drugs and alcohol get in the way of the bridesmaids and they destroy the bride's wedding dress. Now they have one night to reverse their terrible mistake and throw their friend the perfect wedding. To do so they will need the help of men from their past and that is not exactly a good thing for any of the girls.

Analysis and opinion:
A couple of years ago there was a movie called 'Bridesmaids' which offered a new kind of comedy for the genre; it was great! This film has a similar story but unfortunately it falls way short of being groundbreaking or even funny at times. It loses itself trying to be like 'The Hangover' and just when the audience might be getting used to its style, it switches the plot to become a senseless romantic comedy.

The characterizations by the main actresses aren't that bad but they do feel forced. Finally, the ending forgets about the main story and tells us, in a very childish way, about the bridesmaids realization that the lives they lead might not exactly be the best.
