This film tells us the real-life story of US Navy pilot Dieter Dengler, who was shot down by the Vietnamese military during a secret mission to Laos.

His bombing mission turns into a nightmare, as he must now find a way to survive, no matter the cost, and endless jungle filled with citizens wiling to die to defend their country.

Joining Bale is Steve Zahn in one of his best performances ever. They both deliver amazing performances and truly bring credibility to their roles and the experiences their characters are experiencing.

This is the film with the biggest box-office numbers for director Werner Herzog, though it remains as one that most people haven't even heard of. We recommend you give this film a chance and realize why Bale is considered one of the best amongst his peers.
