Many of you outside Mexico aren't too familiar with Alfonso
Cuaron's previous work. Just know that he is the director behind 'Children of
Men' and one of most of Harry Potter's fans favorite 'Prisoner of Azkaban'. This
is our review of his latest film 'GRAVITY'.
By Staff
There are filmmakers that have films out almost every year.
Usually they are good but not great flicks. Cuaron took 7 years from the time
he did 'Children of Men' to write, produce, direct, and in our humble opinion,
build a masterpiece from beginning to end.
'GRAVITY' is a very simple story about astronauts drifting
in space. The way it is told is completely revolutionary. The images and
sequences feel fresh, well made and like something little, or maybe never,
before seen.
Get ready to watch in 3D and be amazed with "el
chivo" Lubezki's cinematography work as he gives us another taste of his
immeasurable talent behind the camera.
Sandra Bullock played her character 'Ryan Stone' in an
impressive way taking the audience in a rollercoaster ride of emotions,
claustrophobia and desperation from within her astronaut suit. George Clooney
also did a first-rate job playing 'Matt Kowalski'.
There's been a lot of talk about this film and how it may
run away with the all the main Oscars next year and now we can see why. We
agree with it all.
*Extra note: We recommend you watch it in 3D, it is worth
the extra cost.
9.7/10 WOW CAN'T MISS THIS MOVIE.
