Review: IRON MAN 3

One of the many films that are in everyone's list for 2013 hits theaters on May 4th. We are located in Mexico and that means we got to see it a week earlier. This is our review of Marvel's Stage 2 kick-off film: IRON MAN 3.

Getting into the story would be a mistake since most of you hate spoilers and want to see what is going on with 'Tony Stark' after the events in 'Avengers' for yourselves. Instead we'll tell you that it is important that you watch the previous films so you have a better understanding of this one.

For those of you who want to know, here is a brief summary: 'The Mandarin' is an International terrorist who is threatening the United States with continuous attacks and his demands are practically a mystery. Extraordinary events lead to 'Tony Stark' declaring war (sort of) on him and the adventure begins.

A good film requires having a quality hero and a villain with realistic possibilities of achieving his master plan. This film does a good job to cover these aspects to a certain point.

The biggest challenge this movie was facing was not having top-of-the-line special effects, which it has.

It wasn't establishing 'Tony Stark' as the most interesting hero from the 'Avengers Initiative', he already was.

It was to kick-start this new stage and we believe it failed (though in general, it didn't disappoint).

Curiosity and likeness for these type of movies will encourage us to go watch 'Thor', 'Captain America', 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and the other ones, but we are left wondering if 'IRON MAN 3' raised, reached or fell short of the bar established last year.

You are the judges for that.

We believe it wasn't better than 'The Avengers' but it sure was a very entertaining, and at times an awesome movie to watch (if you put the story aside. Sorry, we had to say that).

Extra Note- We saw it on 3D and it was SO worth it!
