The explorers of worlds are back on the big screen and in
amazing 3D. This is our review of "STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS".
For starters, don't worry if you didn't see the first film.
The characters are introduced one-at-a time again without making much of a fuss
and the audience is quickly familiarized with them.
To those who did see the first one, the story was done in
the same style- complicated, entertaining, interesting and FULL of action.
This time we find the members of the Enterprise on the hunt
of a man who could be a weapon of mass destruction all by himself. In order to
accomplish the task at hand, they must travel to the planet Kronos, home of the
biggest enemies of the Starfleet- the Klingons.
This mission presents the danger of a big scale Intergalactic
war that could lead to the culmination of the human race and all of planet
Earth's inhabitants.
The plot thickens when the ship malfunctions, the plan
doesn't seem to be thought-out all the way and deceiving from everywhere and
everyone involved complicate things for the Captain and his crew.
The performances by the young and not-so young actors
playing this saga's beloved characters are terrific, especially Chris Pine and
Zachary Quinto as 'Captain James T. Kirk' and 'Spock' respectively.
We'd like to make a special mention of Benedict Cumberbatch
whose performance as the main villain, added an extra sense of emotion to every
sequence he was a part of.
The special effects are absolute top-notch and the 3D looks
AMAZING; as a matter of fact this is the best film since 'AVATAR' that left us
fully satisfied with the added dimension.
The table is set for 'STAR TREK 3', we don't know who will
direct it since J.J. Abrams is penned down for 'STAR WARS Ep. VII' and after
watching this film, we can rest peacefully knowing it will be worth the wait;
he is a director that knows what he wants and does everything to accomplish his
goals.
Counting this review, we have now done 52 and 'STAR TREK
INTO DARKNESS' is the first time all of us who work on this blog, agree on the
same grade for a movie:
10/10 WOW Can't Miss This Movie!
