2013 END OF THE YEAR SPECIAL

We are about to go into 2014 and it's time to recap 2013. Enjoy our 'END OF THE YEAR SPECIAL' with the best and worst of.

By Staff and Editors in chief.
Last year we predicted 'ARGO' was going to go all the way at the Academy Awards, unfortunately we weren't able to watch three films that seem to be the favorites come awards season because they haven't made it to Mexico yet: '12 Years a slave', 'American Hustle' and 'Her'. Our lists won't include them (Stay tuned for our Academy Awards predictions around the final week of February).

We are only including films we saw throughout the year and that for one reason or another entertained us more than others. During this week we'll be revealing our TOP 10, starting with this entry and numbers 10 to 5, as well as our BOTTOM 5 with films that were either disappointing or flat out bad. There is a lot to go through so lets get started!

THE WORST-

5. THE BLING RING
4. HANSEL & GRETEL; WITCH HUNTERS
3. AFTER EARTH
2. THE HOST

And for being a film with a huge budget, having an innovative producer behind it and ending up being a disappointment in narrative, special effects, editing and contradicting important parts of the original material:

1. SUPERMAN MAN OF STEEL

THE BEST-

10. TRANCE
9. PACIFIC RIM
8. CAPTAIN PHILLIPS
7. THE PLACE BEHOND THE PINES
6. STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

TOP 5
5. MONSTERS UNIVERSTIY.
A film many of us were anticipating like crazy. The story is awesome- it offers many insights into 'Mike' and 'Sully's college life. The advances in animation can be appreciated by anyone and the ending connects the story between it and it's predecessors perfectly. Here is the link to our review.

The remaining of the Top 10 will be revealed throughout the week. Leave your comments and lists. We are sure more than one of you will have something to say about our Worst's #1.
