Welcome to Ed P-Review!!

If there is something I like to do, is movie reviews! I like to pay attention to all the details in the photography, art direction and all the other stuff in a movie. This blog is just for that, review movies that are showing on theaters, though unfortunately, since movies take a bit longer to come out in my country, Mexico, some times I will review a film already out on DVD. Some other times, I will review old movies that I think are pretty good and most people didn't give them a chance.

To begin with, I have been doing movie reviews for a long time now and my friends, in most cases, said that even if they didn't agree with my opinion on a specific movie, at the very least thought that my ideas were interesting. To not make this story longer than it should be, my girlfriend and many other friends (Rick, Rob, Celeste, Xenia, Erin, just to mention some), convinced me that starting a blog would be an excellent idea.

Second, if you are here, its probably because a friend, of a friend, of a friend knows me and did me the amazing favor of telling you about my blog, for which I not only thank him/her for sending you this link, but you as well for giving me a chance to tell you my cinematographic observations.

Lastly- You might be wondering if I have any film knowledge that makes it worth it to stay here and not go to someone else's blog (though I have to be solidary with my fellow bloggers and encourage you check other blogs when you are done with mine). Anyways, back to the point I'm trying to make- I am the typical movie fan. I go to the movies as many times as I can and try to watch all kinds of films. My favorite genres are: Suspense, drama and sci-fi. My favorite movie is Christopher Nolan's 'Inception'. I have read my share of books on narrative and scriptwriting, some on art direction and cinematography, taken classes on audiovisual narrative and a pair of short film workshops.
Speaking about that, I've made a couple of stop-motion short films and been a part of some other live-action ones, with the highlight of my film career (so far) being an Assistant Director for 'Cristal', a short I was a part of while at ULA (University of Latin-American Arts) with movie greats- Tiki Llanes and Herbey Eguiarte.

I am open to criticism, otherwise I'd be a hypocrite, but I do ask that you keep your binary powers under control and when you don't agree with my opinion, please don't fill my blog with SPAM, just leave a comment and I'll gladly read it.

Thanks for coming by. And thanks to my beautiful girlfriend for keeping the blog looking and working great!
