A perfect dose of melancholy in movie-form
for all of us who enjoyed of 8, 16 and 32 bit videogames.
The story is
immensely creative, carefully crafted and fun. Many will see the similarities
with other films that tell the story of "And what if it were real or alive? How or
what would it's life be like?", like 'Toy Story' per say. 'Wreck-it Ralph' shows us the life-crisis that a 'programed character' with few purposes, like being the villain and accept it's destiny as a loner, can go through. After
giving it some thought, it (though I will from this point on refer to it as a -he-) realizes that there must be more than simple destruction so he
leaves his arcade in search of a bigger and happier existence. In his travesty
he'll run into obstacles that will try to stop him from achieving his goal and
characters that will try to make him come to his senses. It is a very good
movie with some emotionally charged and very creative moments. Let us make a
recommendation before grading it- Be patient with the story, it is worth it!
9/10 Good Popcorn Fun.
