Review: THIS IS THE END

Another lightning fast review. One more film that tells us about the end of the world. The difference: This is a comedy. Enjoy our review of 'THIS IS THE END'.

By Staff
Seth Rogen, Johah Hill, James Franco, Jay Baruchel and pretty much every actor from every Judd Apatow film is in this apocalyptic-genre movie.

The story tells us about this group of actors and their lives in Hollywood. There are no made up names nor characters created, they all play themselves, talk as if they are doing an interview for E!, making fun of past movie roles and enjoying the life million-dollar-paychecks can provide them.

It all begins as Jay visits Seth to spend the weekend together just like old times- playing videogames and smoking... substances.
Just across town, James Franco y throwing a party to inaugurate his new home and this proves to be too much of a temptation for Seth that he convinces Hay to go and hang out at the party for just a short while. The plan falls through as Omega is upon us and now the few survivors have to figure out how to make in post-apocalyptic Earth.

As we mentioned in our intro, this is a comedy and if you are familiar with previous works from all involved in the production you can figure out the film does not take itself seriously and does everything to make the audience laugh without stopping to see if a joke is too crude or absurd.
This type of comedy isn't for everybody, in fact, some of us here in Front Seat Review choose to skip this movies, however we all agreed that this one has enough funny, gross, ridiculous and absurd moments to spend a good time at the movies (without thinking you'll see something like 'There's something about Mary' or anything like that).

7.5/10 WORTH THE TICKET PRICE.
