Wednesday´s review: Dark City

The 'watch it on the comfort of your couch' movie of the week is in relation to the review of this past weekend, Cloud Atlas- Complicated story, science fiction and with first class production value.
DARK CITY

Alex Proyas (I ROBOT, THE CROW) brings us this adventure, developed by Proyas himself, where he tell us the story of 'John Murdoch', played by Rufus Sewell (A KNIGHT'S TALE, THE ILLUSIONIST), a man that wakes up and can't remember anything about his life; all he has are flashes of memories. Little by little he begins to find clues that may help him recover his memory, and in some points of the story he'll run into beings that will see him as a threat and will try to stop him from achieving his goal.
Joining Rufus Sewell, are the gorgeous Jennifer Connelly, Kiefer Sutherland and William Hurt. Unfortunately I can't tell you much about their characters because it is an important part of the story, but I assure you they all did a great job.
About the technical aspects; The cinematography is very good specially because the entire movie takes place at night-time and you can see everything perfect. The art direction is one for the ages, AMAZING.
The story, as we mentioned before, is complicated but so worth being patient with it- the ending will not disappoint you.

10/10 WOW. Can't Miss This Movie. Go rent it and watch it on the comfort of your couch.
