Nothing better to relax than paradise on Earth-
soft, sandy beaches, warm climate and beautiful landscapes by the edge of the
sea. Until mother nature strikes with all its power.
'THE IMPOSSIBLE', is the
new film by Juan Antonio Bayona's (The Orphanage) in which he tells the story
of one of many families that were in the wrong place, at the wrong time, when
one of history's worst Tsunamis hit the Thailand coasts, in 2004.
With sequences that expose the rawness in a
catastrophe, the emotions and desire to live of the people involved, Bayona
invites the audience to encourage the characters to keep going and not give up.
Playing the main characters are; Naomi
Watts (King Kong, 21 Grams) who was superb with a very complicated roll, Ewan
McGregor (Moulin Rouge, Star Wars) as a desperate father looking to reunite
with his family, and Tom Holland, a newcomer that did his part perfectly and
should be considered for a Best Support Actor nod.
'THE IMPOSSIBLE' could have been just
another Hollywoodized disaster movie, but it achieves much more by daring to be
different and tell us a story that is incredible, but never exaggerated.
9/10 Good Popcorn Fun.
